Oakland, California: Mental Health for BIPOC Women — Check Your Privilege x ESTBC Prints
Community rootedness and mental health awareness are at the heart of our craft. In the early 2020s, we had the privilege of collaborating with Myisha T. Hill, founder of Check Your Privilege, for an impactful initiative focused on raising awareness for mental health among BIPOC women. Together, we designed and hand-screen printed custom t-shirts dedicated to centering the mental well-being and space for Women of Color. Launched at Oakland’s First Friday, this project served as a visual reminder that healing, mental health resources, and solidarity are essential threads of our collective community. Through art and print, we continue to support and elevate organizations that hold space for transformative work and equity.

Honoring Our Community: Memorial & Social Justice Print Donations
When tragedy hits home in the Bay Area, my heart hurts. My immediate instinct is to show up for our people using the tools I have in my shop. To me, print and design aren't just a craft—they are a way to hold space, offer solidarity, and support families during moments of unimaginable grief.
- Justice for Nia Wilson — After Nia Wilson was taken from us in Oakland, I felt a deep responsibility to support her family, friends, and local organizers. I designed and donated custom memorial t-shirts so everyone gathering could honor her life, keep her name alive, and stand strong in the fight for safety and dignity for Black women.
- In Loving Memory of Jace Young — When 6-year-old Jace Young was killed on the 4th of July in San Francisco, it broke my heart. Wanting to wrap my arms around his family during such a devastating time, I created and donated memorial t-shirts to celebrate Jace's bright memory and support his family's call for peace in our city.

Standing in Solidarity: Minnesota & The George Floyd Memorial
When the uprising began, my heart heavy with grief and anger, I knew I had to use my skills to serve the moment. I reconnected with Myisha T. Hill—founder of Check Your Privilege, board member of the George Floyd Foundation, and a powerhouse voice featured in Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Cosmopolitan, Katie Couric Media, and CNN. Together, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we collaborated to design and hand-screen print custom Black Lives Matter t-shirts and face masks. We wanted people on the ground to have protection, presence, and a visible statement of solidarity. For the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, we flew out to Minnesota to do the work on the ground. Beyond printing, I donated my time and lens to document the memorial, capturing the raw energy, grief, resilience, and unity of the community. Standing at George Floyd Square with my camera was a humbling reminder that our art must always answer the call when history demands it.
